REGISTERED CHARITY No. 1139170
Do you tweet more then you talk? If your Facebook status is not updated for 24 hours does somebody contact the police? Do you want to work in the media and get some serious volunteering experience? If this sound likes you this could be the volunteering opportunity you have been waiting for.
Bolton and Bury Cat Rescue is a small local charity run entirely by volunteers. We have a packed fundraising calendar and are always full with cats and kittens looking for their forever homes. We need a new team of volunteers to promote our events, take forward our social media groups, submit press releases , write educational material and help support our ‘Mewsletter Editor’ with great stories that will interest our supporters.
This is not your average volunteering opportunity, but then again Bolton and Bury Cat Rescue is not your average charity. Formed 2 years ago by a group of volunteers who decided they wanted to make a real difference to the lives of animals in the local area, we set the charity up with nothing and have been promoting our cause ever since. The charity has been more successful than any of our founding volunteers could have imagined, but we have ambition to grow further and this is where you fit in!
Obviously you will be enthusiastic, passionate about animal welfare and have great communication and IT skills. Our team of existing volunteers will support you every step of the way but we also let our volunteers carve out the roles they enjoy and want to take forward. We have monthly meetings to keep everyone up-to-date and to give every volunteer the opportunity to discuss crucial issues to help take the charity forward.
So if you want your volunteering activities to add real bite to your C.V., make new friends, develop new skills or simply ‘ do your bit’ to help abandoned and neglected animals then we want to hear from you.. This is a unique opportunity to get involved in the heart of a charity and contribute towards making a real difference to the lives of cat and kittens. Purrfect!
